In the unique space of Roca Tarpeya, place that was home and workshop of the sculptor Victorio Macho, is the Victorio Macho Museum where you can admire much of his work.
In the unique space of Roca Tarpeya, a place that was the home and workshop of the sculptor Victorio Macho, a large part of his work is displayed.
Today this beautiful space is also the headquarters of the Royal Foundation of Toledo.
The Victorio Macho Museum displays a large part of the collection bequeathed by the sculptor, including sculptures such as La Madre, Mi Hermano Marcelo and El Torso Gitano; portraits of personalities such as Marañón, Unamuno and Pasionaria and sketches of the great monuments he made in Spain and America. Among the drawings on display are the self-portraits, the series of country men and the nudes. The exhibition area is extended to the Crypt and Gardens, which have a magnificent location, unbeatable views over the Tagus and the surroundings of the cigar plantations, and pleasant corners where you can rest and enjoy the panoramic view.
Sunday to Wednesday, from 10:00 to 14:00 h.
Thursday to Saturday, from 11:00 to 18:00 h.
