Based on the film that brought out the rock side of a whole generation, this fun musical is based on the life of Dewey Finn, a frustrated wannabe rock star who decides to earn extra money by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious school. There, with his quirky and magnetic personality, he manages to turn a class of outstanding kids into a mind-blowing rock band that plays guitar and bass like true stars. As he teaches these future prodigies the true meaning of rock, Dewey falls in love with the school's beautiful but strict principal, helping her rediscover the wild child within.
