We will visit the Monastery of San Pedro de Rocas, the oldest monastery in Galicia, with most of its medieval church carved directly in rock. Then we will head to the pier of Santo Estevo to start the boat trip on the Sil River. Once the boat trip is finished, we will continue the excursion and on our way to Parada de Sil we will have time to visit to one of the most famous viewpoints in the Ribeira Sacra.
We will continue to Parada de Sil, with several restaurants where you will have a 1h 20min break for lunch. (Note: lunch is not included in the tour price. It is your responsibility to manage your own lunch. You will receive the list of restaurants in the area and the time at which you must book and be back at the meeting point)
Afterwards we will visit the Monastery of Santa Cristina de Ribas de Sil, hidden among Chestnut trees and located in the slopes of the Sil Canyon, is one of the best examples of the Galician romanesque architecture. (Note: if for logistics constraints we cannot visit Santa Cristina, we will visit the Castle of the Condes de Lemos.)
We will end the day with a visit to a magnificent viewpoint overlooking the vineyards located on the slopes and a visit to a winery with tasting of some of its Ribeira Sacra appellation wines. After saying goodbye to the Ribeira Sacra, we will head back to Ourense and drop our customers off at their departure points.
