Day 1. Bilbao – Santander
Arrival at 10:00 AM at Bilbao-Concordia station. Welcome aboard the train. Visit to the city and the Guggenheim Museum. Lunch on board; afternoon visit to Santoña. The train then departs for Santander. Panoramic tour, dinner, and overnight stay in Santander.
Day 2. Santander – Llanes
While having breakfast, we travel by train to Cabezón de la Sal; tour of Santillana del Mar and the Neocave of Altamira. Lunch. In the afternoon, we travel by train to Llanes for a tour. Dinner on board and overnight stay in Llanes.
Day 3. Llanes – Oviedo
After breakfast, we'll depart by coach for the Picos de Europa National Park and visit Arenas de Cabrales, the birthplace of the cheese that bears its name. While we have lunch, the train will depart for Oviedo. We'll visit the city of Oviedo. Dinner and overnight stay in Oviedo.
Day 4. Oviedo – Luarca
After breakfast, we will visit Gijón, with lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Luarca. We will visit the town, have dinner on board, and spend the night in Luarca.
Day 5. Luarca – Viveiro
We will arrive in Ribadeo after breakfast. We will then travel by coach to Taramundi to visit the ethnographic complex of “Os Teixois.” Lunch will be served. In the afternoon, the train will take us to Viveiro, where we will enjoy a guided tour. Dinner will be served on board, and we will spend the night in Viveiro.
Day 6. Viveiro – Santiago de Compostela
On our last day, we'll arrive in Ferrol during breakfast. We'll say goodbye to the crew and travel by coach to Santiago de Compostela. We'll visit a restaurant and have lunch there, where we'll say our farewells.
Payment Methods
Transfer or credit card. To make a firm reservation, 15% of the total amount of the reservation will be required, the rest 31 days before the departure of the trip.
Cancellation and Changes
1. Cancellations
The client may cancel the services requested at any time, making the appropriate cancellation in writing (within the opening hours of our offices) and will be entitled to a refund of the amounts paid, with the exception of 15% of the total cost of the trip as compensation.
The cancellation penalty will be applied from the moment the booking is made. The percentage to be applied, always on the PVP in force, will be increased depending on the date of cancellation with respect to the date of commencement of the trip, as follows (in addition to 15%):
Cancellation between 30 and 15 days: 25%.
Cancellation between 14 and 5 days: 50%.
Cancellation between 4 and 1 day: 80%.
Cancellation less than 24 hours before or no-show on the day of departure: 100%.
Changes
All changes must be communicated in writing (within our office opening hours).
a) Changes to the date of travel
Changes are allowed free of charge, if communicated more than 120 days in advance.
Communicated between 120 and 31 days in advance: 15% compensation.
Changes to the date of travel are not permitted less than 31 days before the departure date of the trip.
b) Changes in the identity of passengers:
Changes to the identity of one of the two passengers travelling in a double room are permitted up to 5 days before the departure date of the trip.
No changes in the identity of the two passengers travelling in a double room or of the passenger travelling in a single room are permitted. Such changes will be considered Cancellations.
The train
The carefully refurbished rooms and lounges of the Costa Verde Express turn every journey into an unforgettable experience of relaxation, comfort and fun.
The entire train, both rooms and common areas, are connected internally, allowing free passage of passengers.
Grand Class Suite
Coquettish room with wood panelling, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere.
It has a double bed (1.20 m x 1.85 m), desk, wardrobe, luggage rack, minibar and safe. It is air-conditioned with independent regulator and has a complete private bathroom with hydro-massage shower/steam sauna, hairdryer and a variety of welcome amenities.
Lounge cars
The lounges of the Costa Verde Express are elegant and evocative spaces where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner, have a drink or chat with your fellow travellers.
Breakfast and lunch or dinner prepared by our chef are served daily in these common areas. The bar car is open from early in the morning until the early hours of the morning. In the pub car, parties, music or live performances are offered every night.
Life on board
Imagine a luxury train where you can enjoy and relax for six days and five nights, making it your lounge, your transport, your meeting place, your restaurant, your room or your dance floor. Where every day you will wake up in a different place with unique landscapes from the comfort of your room or any of our evocative lounges.
During the day, when we will be making our visits, we recommend comfortable clothing and footwear. In the evening, you can opt for more formal attire. To enter the Casino de Santander on the routes that include it, it is necessary to dress elegantly (no suit or tie is required, but it is forbidden to enter wearing shorts or trainers).
After dinner, you can enjoy an evening of entertainment. Every evening there are live performances or dancing on board. You can also choose to have a quiet drink in one of the lounge cars, go for a stroll around the local area or retire to the privacy of your room earlier in the day.
To facilitate rest, the train remains stationary at the station overnight at the end of the day.
The trip on the Costa Verde Express is also a journey through the best gastronomy of Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and the Basque Country, renowned throughout the world for the quality of its professionals and its raw materials.
Our exquisite breakfast buffet is complemented by the personalised service of our waiters. Local specialities are present throughout the trip, making each day start in a different and original way also at the table.

Day 1. Santiago de Compostela – Viveiro
Reception at Santiago de Compostela's Parador Nacional Reyes Católicos at 10:00 am. Tour of Santiago and lunch. In the afternoon, travel by coach to the train in Ferrol. Settling in and traveling to Vivero. Tour of Viveiro, dinner, and overnight stay in Viveiro.
Day 2. Viveiro – Luarca
During breakfast, the train will arrive in Ribadeo. From there, we'll travel by coach to Taramundi to visit the ethnographic complex of "Os Teixois." In the afternoon, we'll arrive in Luarca. We'll have a visit and dinner on board. Overnight in Luarca.
Day 3. Luarca – Llanes
Early departure for Oviedo. Visit to a traditional Asturian cider press, free time in Gijón, and lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit the city of Oviedo. Afterward, we will travel to Llanes by train. Dinner on board and overnight stay in Llanes.
Day 4. Llanes – Cabezón de la Sal
After breakfast, we'll travel by coach to Arenas de Cabrales, the heart of the Picos de Europa mountains and the birthplace of the famous Cabrales cheese. Lunch will be at a restaurant. In the afternoon, we'll visit the town of Llanes before continuing on to Cabezón de la Sal. Dinner will be served on board. Overnight in Cabezón de la Sal.
Day 5. Cabezón de La Sal – Santander
After breakfast, we will visit Santillana del Mar and the Altamira Neo-Cave. After lunch on board, we will travel by train to Santander. City tour. Dinner at a restaurant and overnight stay in Santander.
Day 6. Santander – Bilbao
During breakfast, we will travel by train to visit Santoña and Laredo, where we will take a boat trip. Return by train and lunch at a traditional Biscayan restaurant, marking the end of the trip.

We will start the morning enjoying our delicious buffet breakfast while Costa Verde Express arrives at Ribadeo, to visit Beach of Las Catedrales and Ribadeo. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit of Luarca. Dinner on board while the train arrives in Oviedo.
Day 3. Oviedo
After breakfast we start the day with a visit to Oviedo, Capital of the Principality of Asturias. We return to the train and collect our luggage to finish the trip around 2 pm.
