Toni Roca has been teaching bread-making courses for more than ten years. There are only a few places and there is a slap in the face to sign up. The students who sign up know that Toni Roca's courses are unique, the method is based on a simple and curious premise: "To make good bread, you don't need the best flour or the freshest yeast, to make good bread you just need to be good with yourself". It's as simple as that.

For Toni Roca: "We are the bread we make". A crust that is not crispy enough can be synonymous with problems at work, a crumb that is too dense is probably indicative of a relationship crisis, a bland loaf can only be the result of an unsatisfactory sex life. If you want to make good bread, you have to fix everything that is wrong in your life. And the course guarantees that, after these sessions, the student will be able to make excellent bread. The learning system is very unorthodox. The students don't just knead or control the temperature of the oven: they confess, cry, laugh, scream and let loose. The improvements in bread - and in life - are immediately evident. Three new students have signed up for this year's course, three students with totally different interests, wills and moments in life.

A portrait of a society that seems to be doing away with religion but still has an obsessive need to believe, to have faith in something, something that helps us make sense of our chaotic lives, even if that something is totally unheard of.
